With Week 7 of the Big 3 season coming up this weekend, a team in the hunt has made a move.
Trilogy, 3-2 on the season, has traded forward Sam Young to the Ball Hogs for forward Qyntel Woods. Trilogy is currently in 4th place, while the Ball Hogs sit last at 0-6. The Ball Hogs have subsequently waived Young.
Woods, 38, has played in five games this season, averaging 3.4 points and 3.0 rebounds per game. He was a first round pick in 2002 by the Portland Trail Blazers, and averaged 4.1 points per game over a 4 year NBA career. At 6'8, he gives Trilogy more size on the wing than the 6'6 Young.
Young, who turned 34 in June, has averaged 5.4 points and 1.4 rebounds in 5 games this season, his first in the Big 3. In four seasons in the NBA from 2009-2013, the Washington, D.C. native averaged 5.8 points per game.
The Ball Hogs will look for their elusive first victory of the season this week in Milwaukee on Sunday when they face the 3-2 Trilogy.
