On Monday, the first trade of the 2019 Big 3 season took place, with the Triplets trading big man Chris Johnson to the Ghost Ballers for wing Jamario Moon. The Ghost Ballers also waived forward Carlos Boozer, who has appeared in two games this season, averaging 1.5 rebounds per game.

Moon has played in all five games this season for the Ghost Ballers, and was their leading scorer at 13.2 points per game. His 7.2 rebounds were also first on the team. He gives the Triplets an athlete on the wing who will help spread the floor for Joe Johnson. He is also a scoring threat that can take some of the load off of Johnson.

Chris Johnson has also played in all five games this season, and was averaging 1.4 points and 4.4 rebounds for the Triplets. He gives the Ghost Ballers much needed, especially with Boozer being waived. The Ghost Ballers were exploited down low in their last game against the Aliens, and Johnson will help them in that regard, as he will give them size and athleticism up front. His presence and need on the Triplets has become less in recent weeks with Al Jefferson playing better, who will get more minutes.

Moon's first game for the Triplets is next Saturday against the Ball Hogs, while Johnson's first task in a Ghost Ballers uniform will be trying to slow down Tri-State's Amare Stoudemire - who is averaging 19.6 points and 8.0 rebounds this season - on August 3 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL.

It will be interesting to see what will happen with Boozer, who has appeared in just two games. If he's healthy, he could certainly help a team. If not, this could be it for him in the Big 3.

Update July 23* Ghost Ballers have also added Solomon Jones. Jones, 35, was a second round pick of the Atlanta Hawks in 2006 (33rd overall). Over his 8 year NBA career, he also played for the Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Clippers, New Orleans Hornets, New York Knicks, and Orlando Magic. The 6'10, 245 pound big man last played in 2017 with the Oklahoma City Blue of the NBA G-League, averaging 5.0 points and 2.3 rebounds in 15 minutes per game.
