LeBron James has re-signed with the Los Angeles Lakers. The 39-year-old’s new deal is a two-year contract worth $104 million. Included in the deal is a player option next summer as well a no-trade clause, per Shams Charania.
2024-2025 will be James’ 22nd season in the league, which will tie him with Vince Carter for the most all-time. This past season, James joined Kevin Garnett, Robert Parish, Kevin Willis, and Dirk Nowitzki, and Carter in playing at least 21 seasons.
James averaged 25.7 points, 8.3 assists, and 7.3 rebounds in 2023-2024. This upcoming season he will play with his son Bronny, which will be the first instance that a father-son duo has played together in NBA history.
