Michael Beasley’s Late Run Seals Miami 305 Win over DMV Trilogy

Michael Beasley’s baseline jump shot gave the Miami 305 a 52-49 win over DMV Trilogy in Big3 action from Boston on Sunday.
The 305 trailed 25-18 at halftime but outscored the Trilogy 34-24 in their second half. Beasley led all scores with 30 points. Lance Stephenson added 13 points and 9 rebounds for the 305. For the Trilogy, Earl Clark scored 28 points with 8 rebounds. Isaac Austin played a solid game with 12 points and 13 rebounds, battling Reggie Evans.
In a tight second game, the Chicago Triplets led the Dallas Power 26-24 at halftime and outscored the Power 24-21 in the second half to secure a 50-45 win.
The Triplets had balanced scoring from Nasir Core (17 points, 8 rebounds), Montrezl Harrell (16 points, 8 rebounds), and Chris Allen (15 points). TJ Cline led the Power with 19 points and 13 rebounds while Glen Rice Jr. added 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists.
Behind Jonathon Simmons’ 27 points, the Boston Ball Hogs defeated the LA Riot 51-43. Dwight Howard led the Riot with 16 points while Jordan Crawford scored 15. Crawford appeared to tweak his hamstring late in the game and his movement was affected.
The Detroit Amps earned a 10-point victory over the Houston Rig Hands 50-40. Cameron Smith registered 25 points and 8 rebounds while Shakur Juiston registered a double double of 20 points and 10 rebounds. Brandon Moss led the Rig Hands with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Garlon Green scored 14 points.
The 305, Triplets, and Amps are atop the standings at 3-1, while the Power, Ball Hogs, and Riot are 2-2. The Rig Hands are 1-3 and the Trilogy 0-4.
Week 6 Big3 action goes on Sunday, July 20 at Little Ceasar’s Arena from Detroit, at 3 p.m.
